#LunchtimeTalks at General Assembly -- Firebase

This week one of the engineers from Firebase, which was purchased last Fall by Google, came into General Assembly to speak about building 'realtime' web applications. One of the cool things that I came away with about the platform is it's 'offline usage' - it stores data locally when network connectivity is not available; once you're back online, Firebase syncs your app's data to Google Cloud Platform. Want to know more about Firebase, here's a bit of light reading to get you started:
